Visual Artist and Media Researcher, Leonhard Mullner lives and works in Vienna. Member of the Total Refusal collective appropriating virtual worlds of computer games for art purposes. He studied Visual Art and Media Art at the UFG Linz, at the HGB Leipzig, and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Currently writing his PhD in Practice in the field of Cultural Studies. He intervenes in the public as well as the digital arena. His work has received several awards: the Vimeo Staff Pick Award, the “Best Austrian Film” award at the Vienna Shorts Film Festival, Shortwaves Film Festival in Poznan and at the AMaze Festival in Berlin.
