Suman Kabiraj is a multidisciplinary artist based in Calcutta, India, graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta – one of the oldest and premier institutes of art education in India. His work includes paintings, drawings, large scale murals, photography, installation, art videos and multimedia works. His artworks were presented and exhibited in several international galleries and events, e.g. Taiwan International Show 2020, ‘Art under lockdown’ by Counterweave Arts, Rome Italy, ‘BITE’ an international art project preview by Shanghai Contemporary Matters Co.Ltd., Group Show ‘Reflection of Another Day’ 2018-2019 at Birla Academy of Art and Culture Calcutta. He has been honoured with several awards, scholarships, such as Governor’s gold medal, Kalanand National Gold medal, Kalanand Scholarship among others.
